Emmure Biography

Okay bro, this time I’ll share about this Deathcore band EMMURE ! I looked at some site, browsing and read the site, and this is the result.

This time I will give you a fewe biography of EMMURE.
Enjoy this . . .

Emmure is a five pieced American deathcore band from New Fairfiel, Connecticut. They  formed in 2003 and now residing in Queens, New York. They have two demos entitled “Nine Eleven Zero Four” and “Demo 2005” and has a total of seven releases. The demos attracted the attention of This City Is Burning Records through which the band released their debut extended play The Complete Guide to Needlework.

The band consist of  Mark Davis at bass guitar, Jesse Ketive as lead guitar, Frankie Palmeri  lead vocals, Mike Mulholland as rhythm guitar and Mark Castillo as drummer which join the band in 2012.

Emmure was founded in 2003 when Ben and Joe Lionetti (from New Fairfield, Connecticut) met Frankie Palmeri (from Queens, New York) over an online search to recruit members for a musical group. Palmeri then traveled to Connecticut to begin rehearsals together. Bassist Mark Davis and guitarist Jesse Ketive, residents of New Fairfield and Queens, respectively, then joined when the three began another recruiting search for members. Ketive was formerly in the band Warfix, in which he played guitar alongside Bryan Goldsman of Southside Panic. The band's name "Emmure" is a reference to immurement, a form of execution.

Victory Records took notice of the band after the release of their extended play and signed them. They released their first full-length album Goodbye to the Gallows in 2007. The band has been signed to the label ever since. Their second, third and fourth albums The Respect Issue (2008), Felony (2009) and Speaker of the Dead (2011) were all distributed through Victory.

“It's a respect issue and growing up in Queens, NY you either have to kill or be killed”. EMMURE have embraced this ideology and have grown stronger as a result. However, instead of taking out their aggressions in negative ways they channeled their collective angst into their music to create a propulsive blend of unabashed aggression and intensity that the youth across the world embrace with open arms.

EMMURE keep it simple and straight-forward, but this coupled with vocalist Frankie Palmeri's brutal openness and honesty connects to people on a level that few others can. Everyone has demons and dark sides to their lives, but this group shows that everyone deals with these types of issues and that there are productive ways to let it all out.

EMMURE have gained the loyalty of the metal community and legions of rabid fans, but make no mistake if you disrespect them you will be left sleeping with the fishes.

Lyrical topics that Emmure touches upon usually focus on breakups, murder, social indifference, sexual deviance, philosophy, and religion. Vocalist Frankie Palmeri and guitarist Jesse Ketive write a majority of the lyrics

While commonly regarded as deathcore, Emmure has been defined as and shows influence of metalcore and nu metal, among other genres. The band has been given both praise and criticism for the abundance of breakdowns in their music. Spoken words and dissonant chords are also often incorporated in their sound. Despite being labeled by many as deathcore, they are often referred to as metalcore by fans and publications. The band occasionally incorporates clean vocals in their music.
